Dc motor components

COMMUTATOR :

Commutator is a part of motor and generator .It convert ac to dc (in generator) and dc to ac (in motor) .
It is made by greater than 2 number of copper path. Each copper path are insulated & copper path are separated one to another, its called commutator segment.

ROTOR COILS : - Rotor or Armature coil is made cu or al . Coil are winding in armature slots

It is highly insulated. Coil are insulated by thin layer of burnish.
